Anyways, I do want to get down a few thoughts in case it's another nine months before I catch another episode (tonight's viewing, by the way, were episodes nine and ten: the two-part "Love Games").
- In my initial DS9PR, I wrote that "Holly J is the new Paige." Although it still may hold true, the real test will be whether or not she returns to form after a two episode run as a fairly likable character. Is Holly Jeanette going to be Season Nine's leading lady? We'll see.
- How great would it have been if when Dave was reading through the stats Connor had compiled, the writers had thrown in some advanced Hollinger-esque stats? "This is awesome, points, rebounds, blocks, effective field goal percentage, player efficiency rating!"
- I don't want to rush to judgment too quickly... but Season Nine feels great so far. The first half of this two parter was hilarious, although I always question whether Degrassi is actually intentionally funny. Not that there's anything wrong if it's not; historically speaking, I think that Liberty has been one of the must underrated characters, solely because of her (possibly intentional) unintentional comedic value, if that makes sense.
- Remember when Holly J nearly got together with - heck, when she threw herself at - Toby?
